ORIGINS
With Texture leathers, highly innovative, Baxter has transferred to leather everything that is usually attributed to fabric. Leather is therefore screen-printed by hand and reinterpreted with printings that draw inspiration from the patterns of the textile archive of the ‘50s.
TANNING AND MANUFACTURING
Carried out using bovine nabucked leathers, with chrome tanning and dying with seeping aniline. Leathers are then screen-printed by hand with the check-printing method, through the use of water pigments, and then finished with resins and waxes. The textures that characterize this article are born therefore, drawing inspiration from great fabric classics of the tie’s field, with manufacturing typical of jacquard loom.
MAINTENANCE
For this leather typology, we recommend an ordinary and periodical maintenance, through the use of a soft cloth, in order to remove from surface the possible presence of dust, and of a very soft brush, in order to revive its surface.
